What Does a Micro Investor Do?

What Does a Micro Investor Do?

(I am a blogger and not offering any financial advice. I am writing for myself hoping a couple people might appreciate.)

It’s really confusing for novice super small investors right now

Job creations and the stock market seems to be going in the same direction-down

I am a retired person with hobbies including this blog. I am regularly looking for part time jobs over the last ten years. In that time frame never have I seen the job postings so slim and the current postings in just a couple job categories. I lament on the fact there is no way I can fill health or social services positions. The BLS job numbers shocked me because it was exactly what I saw as I plugged away on my job search. Perhaps I need to reinvent myself and consider working in social services. The health field would require more education, no thanks. I really feel for young people searching right now.
The part time employment allows me to be a novice and micro stock picker. Right now that is dog sitting $ so my participation is very limited to say the least. The way professionals investing huge sums have reacted to each and every expectations over AI has me puzzled. One minute the expectation is AI is going to be a bust. Take one deep breath and the next expectation is AI is going to put software companies out of business. Right now this novice is in the slow lane looking at choices with no intention of looking for an off ramp.

I really do like idea from Warren Buffett that when everyone else is fearful it’s time to be greedy. Perhaps a few dollars in those companies that experts think are investing too much in AI. You know who they are. As small timer in the market more in the ETF’s that have performed well over the years if not decades. For now it’s don’t over react because everyone else is and stick with long time performers. Energy companies, consumer staples and ETF’s. When the big boys panic put a few bucks in their panic bucket stocks and see what happens. This is not advice, but an old guys rantings.
