Microsoft and Amazon
Microsoft and Amazon Stocks Tanking
Don’t both Corporations Invest in Anthropic?
I am not an economist and a micro investor of stocks. I’m talking about few dollars at a time. With my limited knowledge I don’t understand why Microsoft and Amazon is taking such a beating in the market. It’s been cited in the news that investors are concerned about their expenditures in AI. Other concerns expressed about Microsoft is their core business of software and cloud services could be at risk by AI products replacing long term revenue generators like Microsoft Office Suite.
If this was a playground I would say this is bullying and the bullies just don’t like the companies. In this case investors. I listen to a lot of podcasts and it’s been strongly suggested that Amazon and Microsoft are significant investors in Anthropic the darling in the AI World. Even if core Microsoft products don’t drive revenue like they do today many years from now doesn’t the investment in AI companies like Anthropic open long term revenue potential from AI products the market think is a threat to the core business? With a significant investment in the AI companies isn’t that potential revenue that could generate even more than the current software products year to year.
I am just confused by it all and have decided to let the big investors do what they do and I will continue to put a few dollars in companies that have a lot of experience generating revenue and have expectations they will find ways to keep it going and be players in the AI world and until then continue to improve and market well know and well liked products.
