Am I Too Logical?

AI is going to fail! Software is doomed because AI is taking over!

I am totally confused reading the news today. Fears are going in both directions

As a tiny new investor what is going on in the market today is totally confusing to me. On the one hand investors are selling AI related companies because they think it’s over hyped and there is a lack of progress applying AI. On the other hand investors are selling software stocks because they are convinced future projections for the corporations are over blown.I have worked in retirement homes helping people in the last years of their lives and did not encounter this much drama.
I am choosing at the moment to do nothing. Why? I worked for an organization for a couple decades using CRM, Service Now and Microsoft products. I can tell you this organization and millions just like them will not abandon true and tested products for that have not been proven to be reliable and easy to use. These companies will not end contracts that go for years to try something that might work better. Wall Street is looking beyond the horizon when looking beyond a quarter is generally a challenge to investors.
Some investors with $ might do what Warren Buffet suggests. When the market is fearful it’s time to be greedy.
This micro investor is going to sit on his hands and perhaps put a dollar or two into ETF’s. I am new at this and did not realize what a soap opera it can be.
